Torsional stiffness of footwear

SCOPE
This method is intended to measure the torsional stiffness of complete footwear. The method is applicable to all types of footwear that are expected to flex during wear.
PRINCIPLE
The test specimen is twisted along its length to a fixed angle of twist. The moment required to twist the test specimen is recorded as a measure of the torsional stiffness.
