Accelerated conditioning procedure for leather

SCOPE
This method is intended to condition leather samples for testing in less than 16 hours as an alternative to the normally accepted standard conditioning period of 48 hours. The method is applicable to all types of leather with a substance of up to 2.5mm, intended for use in footwear, furniture, clothing or accessories. It is not intended for use with thick heavy leathers such as sole leather.
PRINCIPLE
Samples of leather are partly dried in a warm oven, then reconditioned.
