Test Method: SATRA TM405
Determination of shear and peel strength of insole ribs
December 1997
SCOPE
This test method is intended to determine the strength of attachment of insole ribs. Complete ribbed insoles or specifically prepared test specimens can be tested. The method is applicable to all types of ribbed insole.
PRINCIPLE
The shear force required to produce failure within the ribbed insole test specimen is determined as well as the load required to peel the rib from the insole. Test specimens are peeled both wet and dry, and from different directions.
