Test Method: SATRA TM448
Scuffing resistance of leathers - Lisson Tretrad Method
April 2017
SCOPE
This method is intended to determine the scuff resistance of leathers, such as those used for sports footwear, against surfaces such as synthetic grass on a Lisson Tretrad test machine.
PRINCIPLE
Test samples are mounted on the rotating test specimen holder of a Lisson Tretrad test machine. The samples then travel forwards and backwards over a length of synthetic grass. On completion of the test each sample is examined to determine the degree of scuffing that has occurred and the mass loss recorded.
