Twists per unit length of threads

SCOPE
This test method is intended to determine the amount of twist in a complete thread. The method is applicable only to twisted multi-cord and twisted monocord threads.
PRINCIPLE
A measured length of thread is untwisted until the constituent yarns or cords are completely separated. The number of turns necessary to do this is counted and the number of twists per unit length is determined.
