Test Method: SATRA TM98
Dimensional stability with changes in atmospheric humidity
June 1992
SCOPE
This test method is intended to determine the dimensional stability of a material with changes in atmospheric humidity. The method is applicable to all types of hygroscopic flat sheet material such as insole boards.
PRINCIPLE
Two marks are made on the surface of a test specimen before it is stored for 48 hours in an atmosphere at low humidity. The distance between the marks is then measured and the specimen is stored for a further 48 hours in an atmosphere at high humidity. The distance between the marks is measured again and the percentage increase is determined.
