Attachment strength of decorative bows

SCOPE
This method is intended to determine the strength of decorative bows and trims and their attachment. The method is mainly applicable to decorative trims attached to footwear but can be used with similar attachments on any product.
PRINCIPLE
A tensile testing machine is used to pull the decorative bow or trim from the material to which it is attached until failure occurs. The maximum force and the type of failure of the test specimen are recorded.
