Under Armour hires new footwear head

Peter Ruppe brings more than two decades of experience in footwear.

US-based Under Armour has hired Peter Ruppe as senior vice president of footwear. According to Kip Fulks, chief operating officer at Under Armour, Mr Ruppe is one of the most respected and accomplished strategic leaders in footwear, and brings considerable industry experience to his new role.

Mr Ruppe most recently served as president of sports and entertainment industry investment company, Alchemy Global. He had previously spent 25 years at Nike, where he was vice president and general manager of global footwear, vice president of global equipment, and vice president of athletic training and field sports.
