Boost in sales of SATRA slip tester
SATRA’s STM 603 slip resistance tester now incorporates programming for the new Chinese standard.
SATRA has seen a growth in sales of the popular STM 603 slip resistance tester since its engineers revised the machine’s software to enable testing to the new version of China’s GB/T 3903.6 (‘Footwear – Test methods for whole shoe – Slip performance’), as well as the existing test methods already incorporated within its programming.
The GB test method requires a report on the static (pre-movement) coefficient of friction between the footwear sample and the floor surface, in addition to the sliding coefficient of friction. The inclusion of the GB/T 3903.6-2017 test method in the selectable tests built into the SATRA STM 603 slip resistance tester makes this the global solution for testing slip resistance.
