Lectra appoints marketing director
Peer Wiesner is now responsible for promoting Lectra’s solutions in Germany, Eastern Europe and CIS countries.
Lectra – an integrated technology solutions provider for industries using textiles, leather, industrial fabrics and composite materials – has announced the appointment of Peer Wiesner as marketing director for Germany, Eastern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.
Based in the German city of Munich and reporting to regional Managing Director Alexander Neuss, Mr Wiesner’s remit is to drive awareness of Lectra’s solutions for the fashion, automotive and furniture sectors.
“We are expanding our sales and marketing teams as part of our global development plan in order to better serve our customers, said Lectra Chief Executive, Daniel Harari. “This complex region – spanning 24 countries and 16 languages – is one of the main drivers of our European activities, with revenue growth of 11 per cent last year. Peer will be a great asset in ensuring the region’s cutting-edge companies capitalise on our entire range of integrated solutions.”
Mr Wiesner holds a business degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg, and has worked in a number of advertising agencies. He has also held communications and product marketing positions in software and IT services companies in Germany, including Conject and Teleson. During 2011, Lectra employed 1,350 members of staff and achieved revenue of $287 million, while serving 23,000 customers in more than 100 countries.
