Footwear protecting against chemicals

In this webinar, Lorna Harding from SATRA’s chemistry team and Hannah Coe from the footwear team discuss the requirements and test methods outlined in EN 13832:2018 Parts 1, 2 and 3. This standard is relevant to all footwear that comes into contact with chemicals and defines the requirements for short-term and long-term exposure to chemicals.

Test methods including splashing resistance, chemical permeation and degradation, elongation at break and tear resistance are also discussed.

EN ISO Personal Protective Equipment – Safety Footwear Updates

This webinar will explain amendments to the standards for safety, protective and occupational footwear, which have recently been updated. The 2021 versions introduce some new and additional test methods and requirements. This webinar is intended to explain these changes to the standards, and outline what changes will be required to ensure continued compliance.

SATRA Announces Revision of Slip Resistance Test Method SATRA TM144

SATRA has recently completed a ten-year review of this important performance and safety-critical test method for the friction (slip resistance) of footwear and floorings. Digital Last assessment

A look at SATRA’s new digital services for measuring and analysing the shape and dimensions of shoemaking lasts. This service can be used during the development phase of shoe design to understand the likely comfort and population coverage offered by footwear without the need for human fit trials.
